Good morning, Nebraska. It’s Friday, and I had a great morning here in Grand Island, and I love Friday so much. Because one a lot of softball, volleyball, cross country and some football happened on Friday and it gets me hyped and excited with so much high school sports and then today a lot of great football games.

LincolnNE wins all 3 sets over Burke

North Platte loses to #9 ranked GI NW 2-1

Omaha Marian looked good and beat #2 Paillion LaVista 3-0

#3 Lincoln SW won 3-0 over #8 Omaha Westside

Great team win again by Gothenburg Volleyball. A 3-0 sweep over South Loup in front of an awesome home crowd!

High School Softball

NebraskaTok’s Jake Scheideler and Nebraska HSSB recapped the KW Tournament on their Nebraska HS Softball Show. They recap teams from all around the state. Craig talks about upcoming games and the NebPreps Coaches Poll.

Addy Wegner hit two home runs and drove in five as St. Paul Varsity Wildcats defeated Centennial Varsity Broncos 11-3 on Thursday. Wegner homered in the third and fifth innings.

Karrigan Henrichs Leads Southern/Diller-Odell Varsity Thunder Past Auburn Varsity Bulldogs. Karrigan Henrichs struck out 10 batters as the right-handed pitcher led Southern/Diller-Odell Varsity Thunder past Auburn Varsity Bulldogs 2-1 on Thursday at Blue Springs. Henrichs gave up four hits, and one ran over seven innings while walking three.

#1 Ranked Ashland-Greenwood Varsity Bluejays Falls To Lakeview Varsity Lady Vikes In this Low-Scoring game. Both teams were strong in the circle on Thursday, but Lakeview Varsity Lady Vikes was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-1 victory over Ashland-Greenwood Varsity Bluejays.

Katie Wageman’s Clutch Hitting Propels Bennington Varsity Badgers To Victory Over Elkhorn Antlers Varsity. Katie Wageman drove in four runs on two hits to lead Bennington Varsity Badgers past Elkhorn Antlers 7-6 on Thursday. Wageman hit a home run to center field in the seventh scoring two. Bennington is now 9-1 on the season.

Central City Varsity Bison Impressive In Win Against Malcolm Clippers 11-2. Schindler earned the win in the circle. The bison is now 14-1 on the season.

Freeman Varsity Falcons Victorious Over Fillmore Central/Exeter-Milligan 8-3. Shoutout to Johnson as she homered to left field, scoring two runs.

Kloey Johnson’s Clutch Hitting Propels Freeman Varsity Falcons To Victory Over Wilber-Clatonia 17-1. Kloey Johnson drove in four runs on two hits to lead Freeman Varsity Falcons past Wilber-Clatonia. Lang started in the circle for Freeman Varsity Falcons. They gave up one hit, and one ran over two innings, striking out three and walking none. Davison pitched one inning of zero-run ball for Freeman Varsity Falcons in relief. The reliever gave up zero hits, striking out three and walking none.

Gretna Dragons Surge Past Omaha North Varsity Vikings Thanks To Big First Inning. Gretna Dragons scored seven runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Omaha North Varsity Vikings 13-0 on Thursday.  Maddie Kurrus was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Kenadie Barton singled, scoring two runs, Miley Rowe singled, scoring two runs, and Ava Nance singled, scoring two runs.

Emma Landgren Drives 4 Runners Home In Hastings Tigers Varsity Victory Over Kearney Catholic Varsity Stars. Emma Landgren drove in four runs on one hit to lead Hastings Tigers Varsity past Kearney Catholic Varsity Stars 23-7 on Thursday. Landgren hit a home run to left field in the second scoring three, walked in the first scoring one, and walked in the first scoring one.

Wenzl earned the win for Hastings Tigers Varsity. The starting pitcher allowed eight hits and seven runs (five earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking three.
