🏐🏈 Watchin’ You Report: Record Breakers, Big Performances, and What’s Next on NebraskaTok Presented by All American Roofing — It’s been a wild couple of weeks here at NebraskaTok, and before diving into this week’s standout athletes, I’ve got a quick update for all my fans and followers. Last week, I was away at my Dick’s Sporting Goods Store Manager Conference — and it was one to remember. Our team took home first in the district, first in the region, and 11th in the company in our Back-to-School Blitz Contest! That big win earned me a special reward — a few unforgettable days at Disney World to celebrate. But while I was hanging out with Mickey, plenty of Nebraska athletes were putting in the work and lighting up their own highlight reels. Let’s catch up. — ⭐ Rylee – Anselmo-Merna If you’re looking for a young player making a major impact, look no further than Rylee from Anselmo-Merna. As just a sophomore, Rylee is already a two-year varsity starter — and the story gets even better. Last year, she came in as a freshman and earned a starting spot over a returning senior. That kind of drive and competitiveness says everything about her game. Rylee shines as an outside hitter, but what makes her special is her versatility. She can attack from anywhere and pass with the best of them, making her a key piece in every rotation for the Coyotes. Expect her name to keep popping up — she’s just getting started. — 🏐 Myla Emery (Em-er-ee) – Minden The definition of an all-around athlete. Myla Emery, a four-year starter and six-rotation player for the Minden Whippets, has been nothing short of dominant. She runs the offense from the back row as a setter, then turns around and attacks with power up front. This season, Myla’s already recorded six triple-doubles in kills, assists, and digs — a rare feat at any level. She leads her team in aces (36), kills (292), and digs (192). Earlier this year, she had a career-high 33 kills in one match against Shelton, and followed it up with a monster night versus Gothenburg: 24 kills, 19 assists, 3 blocks, 4 aces, and 13 digs in a five-set thriller. A two-time state champion and born leader, Myla is her coach’s extension on the court — fierce, focused, and full of volleyball IQ. — 🏈 Ethan Latta – Dundy County Stratton Few nights will go down in Nebraska 8-Man history like Ethan Latta’s performance for South Loup. In a commanding 47–14 win over North Platte St. Patrick’s, Ethan filled every stat column — and then some. He rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries, caught four passes for 118 yards and two more scores, added seven tackles, and, for good measure, picked off two passes on defense. Those two interceptions weren’t just impressive — they were historic. They officially made Ethan the all-time Nebraska 8-Man Career Interception Record holder with 30 picks. A true all-around athlete and a game-changer every time he steps on the field. — 📅 Upcoming Coverage Now that I’m back from conference mode and back behind the camera, I’m hitting the road for another exciting week of Nebraska high school sports. On Thursday, I’ll be covering Shelton vs. Kenesaw Volleyball, and on Friday, I’ll be traveling to Fullerton for a huge Class D2 showdown between #2 Archangels and Fullerton. Expect highlights, interviews, and behind-the-scenes coverage across all NebraskaTok platforms. — 🏠 Sponsor Spotlight – All American Roofing This week’s coverage is proudly presented by All American Roofing, owned by Randy Grindle.
